KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert in Kansas City was canceled on Monday due to the death of Springsteen's cousin, who was also an assistant tour manager, a band representative said.
The concert was set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the downtown Sprint Center.
All tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase, Sprint Center officials said. A Springsteen representative said Lenny Sullivan was found dead in his room at the InterContinental Hotel at the Plaza. He had worked for Springsteen for more than 10 years.
Police said the death is not suspicious.
Monday's Kansas City show was to have been the last concert before Springsteen plays the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th anniversary event later this week.
"Bruce and The Band deeply appreciate the understanding of our Kansas City audience and look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity," Sprint officials said in a news release.

Lenny Sullivan, Bruce's cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last ten years, passed away today at the age of 36. A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family.

När personer dör som jag inte känner, så berör inte dödsfallet mig särskilt mycket. Visst reagerar man på det och tycker att det är väldigt synd och allt. Men det berör mig inte så mycket. Kalla mig hemsk eller vad som.
Men jag tycker att Bruce och bandet har haft tillräckligt med dödsfall. Det är hemskt att se!

Skulle alla dödsfall man hör om i dag beröra en som dödsfall "borde" skulle vi inte ha ngn tid över till att leva så du bör nog inte känna dig som en dålig människa för det...
